These paintings and drawings began during flights between Adelaide and Sydney, where I sketched the shapes seen 30,000 feet below. Based on these ‘representational’ sketches I made a series of ambiguous paintings. These have a non-representational appearance and become a continuation of my investigation into shapes used in abstract art. Twenty of these works were exhibited on one wall at gaffa Gallery during September.
