Shapes of consumerism

During 2020, I have been painting enlarged versions of the ‘dust flaps’ found on packaging boxes that came into my life, 27 are reproduce here. Drawing and painting them on pads of 35x27cm 300 gsm paper. This extends my interest in non-objective, post-minimalist processes and found objects. My fascination with these also has links to my first job in the printing industry. This series uses the shapes of consumerism as a comment on the structured destruction of natural processes and expands my enquiries into ‘the abstract‘.
