My stripe paintings began as a way to use leftover paint

Starting around 2018, my stripe paintings began as a way to use up paint at the same time continuing my experiments with chance and abstract art. Working mostly with pads of 35x27cm 300gsm watercolour paper and using a palette knife to spread the left over paint. The process of making these stripes, is fast and efficient often with unexpected outcomes. It was exciting trying to find variations in the process of making these stripe paintings. A selection of these filled one wall in my solo exhibition at gaffa Gallery.
