During my years of making art I have explored a variety of styles, as my main research into ‘the abstract’ . The abstract within nature has direct links into this, weather its the arrangement of plants in a bushland or microscopic elements. Observing leaf net-veins and leaf structure are areas that have direct links to my past practical work experience which included plant Identification.
2007 was an important year during this period, I worked in the Mangkaja Aboriginal Art Centre in Western Australia. In general, this was a fabulous experience but for my art it taught me ‘don’t be precious‘.
